Legendary’s ‘Kong: Skull Island’ trailer teases monstrous Dinosaurs

Warner Brothers and Legendary Pictures roared into San Diego Comic Con’s Hall H with the debut trailer for ‘Kong: Skull Island’. The latest King Kong movie is a re-imagining of the classic tale, set during the 1970’s when a group of explorers stumble across the deadly island.

‘Kong: Skull Island’ is sure to impress, and is loaded with talent. Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts (The Kings of Summer), with a cast starring actors such as Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Corey Hawkins, Toby Kebbell, John Goodman, and John C. Reilly. The films writing credits include Max Borenstein, John Gatins, Dan Gilroy , and Jurassic World’s Derek Connolly.

That’s one big great ape! This reboot features the largest King Kong to date, partly due to the announcement of an upcoming ‘Godzilla vs King Kong’ film. As such, the films dinosaurs seemingly have also seen a colossal size boost. While these dinosaurs are likely closer to monsters than animals when compared to Jurassic Park, it’s always great to see more mainstream films featuring the extinct beasts.

The cataclysmically beautiful ‘Kong: Skull Island’ releases March 10th, 2017 – and it may just be the movie we need to bide time until Jurassic World 2 in June 2018.
