Chris Pratt is teaming up with his friend, 14 year old, Makenna Schwab, a patient of Seattle Children’s Hospital with a rare connective tissue disorder called Larsen Syndrome. Over the course of her life, she has been treated at Seattle Children’s Hospital and received over 15 life-changing and life-saving surgeries.
Chris and Makenna met a year and a half ago and decided to work on a project together to help other kids. Chris has kept his promise and they are launching this fundraiser benefiting the orthopedics department at Seattle Children’s Hospital.

The news keeps roaring in! After last nights thunderous announcement that Jeff Goldblum will return as Dr. Ian Malcolm in Jurassic World 2, the first plot detail have hit via James Cromwell! While he doesn’t say much, what he does say is enough to get our already excited selves more thrilled.

“The character Richard Attenborough plays [John Hammond], I’m his partner, uh Benjamin Lockwood, and we developed the technology of being able to clone the genes – and so I am, uh, trying to deal with the blowback from what we have done.”
It sounds like the world has changed to become much less receptive of dinosaurs post the disastrous events of Jurassic World. As the movie is said to deal with ‘animal rights‘, and enough evidence has come out showing that it will feature a rescue mission of sorts, we’re willing to bet he is funding the attempts to ‘save them‘. Further, this seems to be the final bit of confirmation that James Cromwell’s Lockwood is the owner of the mansion seen in the first official set picture.
The implications this has for the story are incredibly fascinating – just where was Lockwood during the events of Jurassic Park, The Lost World, and Jurassic World? Why has Hammond, Masrani, or nobody else ever spoken of him, and why is he just now stepping out of the shadows? I have hypothesized that whomever owns the mansion may be a dark reflection of John Hammond, a less than ideal version of his already flawed self. While it’s likely that Lockwood is a protagonist, part of me can’t help but to distrust him and his motives.

With the recent announcement that Jeff Goldblum will be reprising his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm in the upcoming sequel to Jurassic World, what better way to celebrate than to watch Jurassic Park and The Lost World back to back?
The Prince Charles Cinema in London agrees and will be hosting a Double Feature screening of both movies, back to back, in 35mm!
The screening takes place on Saturday 17th June and opens at 8:45pm, with tickets costing £15 for non-members and £12.50 for members. You can purchase your tickets here!
The Prince Charles Cinema is known for screening original 35mm (or 70mm!) prints of movies and bringing back classics and cult films. They host marathons of popular franchises and also host movie premieres. The first time I went to the Prince Charles was for the premiere of a movie I had worked on. Another experience (and I really mean experience) was when they screened The Room and had Tommy Wiseau there, signing Blu-Rays. What a guy.
It’s a great cinema and is located right next to Leicester Square, so grab some food in Chinatown then head down to the Prince Charles! I’ll be there, will you?
Jurassic World 2 actor James Cromwell was recently interviewed by Collider while promoting his upcoming film, ‘The Promise’. While they do not go into too much detail about the upcoming Jurassic Park sequel, Cromwell chattily shared some of his experiences working on the picture, and what it’s like jumping into such a big budget film.
“The prop people have made wonderful things. The set people have made wonderful things. There’s just so much money and so much power and so much prestige. It’s Jurassic Park. It’s unreal. And then, you do your work and, instead of doing it in a room, you’re doing it in a football field sized set with real recreations of dinosaurs. We had three full-sized dinosaur bone replicas that came from a museum in America, and five other heads.”
He mentions that despite the large budget, director JA Bayona still had to fight for certain creative freedoms while making the movie. Being a fan of Bayona’s prior work, I know he has a good eye and mind, so I do hope we won the arguments!
“Money is no object. You take your time and do whatever you need to do. The director, bless his heart, was trying to fight off all of the executives. I probably shouldn’t say that.”
Cromwell went on to talk about his experience working with Bayona, including a scene where he was surprised by the directors request for him to cry.
“He’s wonderful. I liked him a lot. He does some very strange things. At one point, my character is supposed to care about this thing, and I was doing my caring bit. He came over to me and said, “If you want to break down and cry, you can do that.” I thought, “Oh, really? Thanks! What am I crying about?” And Geraldine Chaplin, who has made three or four pictures with him, said, “Did he ask you to cry? He always asks you to cry!” He evidently has a little recipe book of things to do to heighten an actor.”
Just who is James Cromwell playing, and what scene calls for him to cry? While we’ll have to wait until June 2018 to see why the tears start flowing, we do have some theories on his characters role: the wealthy owner of the mansion from the first set picture. Perhaps his character is even married to Geraldine Chaplin’s – someone else that fans speculated may own the mansion.
As for his motives, perhaps he is a dinosaur enthusiast funding a rescue mission for the dinosaurs of Isla Nublar? His mansion sure is filled with dinos of all sorts, including realistic looking statues, and we know that some characters are trying to save the dinosaurs from the image Frank Marshall shared below:

Back in March, a few weeks after the sequel to Jurassic World began filming, Colin Trevorrow shared the first set picture from the movie, featuring a little girl staring up at a large, intimidating skull inside a large mansion.
Today producer Frank Marshall tweeted another photo from this same set, to celebrate the production nearly reaching the halfway point.
In the photo we can see the producer’s chairs – names printed in the classic Jurassic font – as well as director J.A. Bayona’s chair to the right. What’s most interesting about the image though, is what we’re able to see in the background reflections. Most obvious is the large dinosaur seen in the middle…
While it’s unclear what species this is, it could be a Metriacanthosaurus, a species not before seen in the Jurassic Park franchise, although the species was seen listed in the embryo storage containers in Jurassic Park, as well as on the map in Jurassic World. It is unclear whether or not this is a museum statue diorama (such as those found in real-world dinosaur theme parks) or a full-size animatronic. While the latter is doubtful, from what we can see of the dinosaur, it looks to be of a high quality.
What you may have missed is the reflection of the T. rex, seen under the tail of the Metriacanthosaurus.
As we know the iconic T. rex will be returning, and this reflection confirms that at least the species will be seen again. While it’s unclear if this is “Rexy”, this too could be showing an animatronic from the set.
You can also make out some of the original skeletons of dinosaurs that were seen in the photo that Colin shared.

Jurassic World 2 has been filming in England since February 23rd, 2017 with most of the action taking place at the legendary Pinewood Studios. However, images have occasionally emerged from more public locations such as Slough, Hawley Commons, and Hartland Park, all of which are being used by the production. However, until now, the actual filming has remained unseen.
This evening some local fans witnessed cameras rolling on the upcoming Jurassic Park sequel, and while the footage is nondescript, we still would like to give a healthy spoiler warning.
Hours ago, the upcoming Jurassic World sequel brought the dinosaurs to the former Pyestock jet engine test site, now known as Hartland Park. While we know they have built a rather large set there, the specifics of the location remain unknown – however, tonight’s action took to the skies, and could be seen from the nearby roadway.
Check out the short video below, where a Helicopter rig is held up high as fake rain pours down, and flashes of light imitate lightning from a roaring thunderstorm!
While it’s understandably tough to see until the artificial lighting flashes, there appears to be a crew inside the helicopter with a rope ladder hanging below. On said rope ladder in an individual in a yellow rain jacket, not dissimilar to those worn in Jurassic Park – whether that person is climbing up or down is unclear, but either way it seems to be a very cool tense scene! Rain is an element that has come into play in every Jurassic film except for World, so we’re all thrilled to have it back. For a better look at the scene, take a look at this image still below!
We don’t know what’s happening in the scene, but we’re willing to bet on one thing: it includes dinosaurs! As an aside, while we’re all thrilled to see footage from the fifth Jurassic Park film, we do want to remind local fans to respect laws, property lines, and security – not to mention think twice if you happen to see something really juicy.
We try our best to self filter the content that is put on this site, and avoid sharing the real spoilers, but this obviously walks a fine line. We do not want to spoil the story and experience that the filmmakers want to share, but also report on the bigger news as it occurs. As for not trespassing, not only is it illegal, it’s for your safety as well as the cast and crews – a live set can be a dangerous place, especially with heavy filming machinery.

In an interview with ScreenRant, Chris Pratt, who is returning as Owen Grady in the Jurassic World sequel said he believes the new film will be a “scarier version” than the previous installment.
“Aw man, J.A. Bayona? Do you know that filmmaker? He’s a remarkable filmmaker. If you haven’t seen The Impossible or A Monster Calls, I mean he’s really visually masterful. Deep emotions and suspense. I think it’s going to be a scarier version. A little bit darker and will continue to expand and carry the story forward in a way that is really unexpected and you wouldn’t have imagined.”
As ScreenRant also points out in their article, this is not the first time statements like this have been made about the upcoming sequel. Director JA Bayona said late last year that the sequel would be “darker and scarier then the previous film.”

The pictures are really starting to pour in now. Just yesterday we posted an article regarding set construction at Kualoa which featured some sort of large container or architecture.
Today, we are going back to Slough in the U.K. to discuss the latest round of set pictures courtesy of super sleuths sickkgirl_, RaptorChaser17 and emmaaugier on Twitter. Before continuing, we should note that the following pictures may contain spoilers.
The pictures show two different types of heavy-duty trucks; one appears to be a sort of personnel transport and the other seems to be a transport truck carrying a cage. The first truck looks similar to what you would see militaries using to carry armed personnel. Thanks to Baptiste C. Reviews, we now know that the truck in question is most likely a modified Volvo N10. According to the military-today, the N10 is described as being effective for military operations due to the truck’s design and specifications.
With that knowledge, we can speculate as to what role the vehicle will play in the movie. We know that the film will be set on Isla Nublar for an unknown amount of time. It can be assumed that there will be team or teams in addition to Owen and Claire when they return to the island.
The N10 will most likely be used as a personnel carrier for those that are on the island. Since the truck is suitable for military operations, perhaps the truck belongs to group that are heavily armed and operate similarly to a military. One thought that comes to mind is that this could be InGen, who are also seen in Jurassic World operating in a militaristic fashion. Are InGen or another armed organization returning to the island for some reason? The other truck appears to be carrying a heavy duty cage on its bed.
A cage and an island full of large dinosaurs seem like a match made in heaven. Naturally, it can be assumed that the purpose of the truck is to capture and transport a dinosaur or dinosaurs. As you’ll see down below, the truck appears to quite long, therefore it could either carry a large, lengthy dinosaur or several smaller ones. Now, whether or not it is successful remains to be seen. This truck most likely belongs to whichever organization that brings all the other vehicles to the island.
These vehicles seem to be giving the impression that there will be some sort of mission or expedition to the island that would require a large number of armed personnel, as evidenced by the Volvo N10, and the capture of dinosaurs based on the heavy duty transport truck. Assuming the above speculation is close to being correct, we cannot help but feel a The Lost World vibe from everything we’ve seen.

Its time to start speculating as we now have our first look at a set being built for the Jurassic World sequel at the Kualoa Ranch on Oahu, Hawaii. The picture comes from our friends at Reel News Hawaii, who has provided the us with many set construction pictures from Jurassic World and news tid-bits over the past few years.
Looking at the set, it is clear that the team is still fairly early in fully constructing the set. Despite that, we can still begin to take a few guesses as to what it may be.
Some have mentioned that it could be a garage or an entry point to a building that may be added in digitally in post-production. Perhaps it is a shipping container or cage used to transport large dinosaurs or even a container that is being airlifted onto the island that contains vehicles and other equipment that the main characters will be seen using in the movie. These of course are all speculation!
Though it may be hard to accurately judge the size of the set from pictures, we believe that it is fairly large given the fact the picture is taken from a distance and it appears to as large as the crane seen to the left. It should be noted that this set was spotted on the Kualoa Ranch, an area that has been featured in both Jurassic Park and Jurassic World.
As we near the start of filming in Hawaii during the summer, we expect more set pictures to undoubtedly find their way online. Recently, the production held an open casting call in Oahu, Hawaii for extras to appear in the film for an undisclosed reason. Wow. That’s pretty much the ideal word to describe this weekend. What a turnout. What a good group of fans. What an event.
After working in collaboration with Universal Pictures on this event for a good few months now, it was exciting to finally see it all come together on April 2. The weekend hadn’t provided the best weather in Philadelphia, but the skies cleared that morning giving us little wind and bright sunshine all day.
Arriving around 11am, for many of us this is our first visit to The Franklin Institute and to Jurassic World: The Exhibition which, to any Jurassic Park fan, is exciting enough in itself! The Franklin is tremendous and the Jurassic World banners flowing in the wind highlight their biggest attraction to date.
After the Outpost team had sorted our equipment, sign-in table and logistics with the museum representative (and manager of Jurassic World: The Exhibition!) Michelle – who was amazing to work with, and so enthusiastic about the Exhibition and about our event – we stationed ourselves outside the main entrance on the steps leading into the museum. This is where fans began to arrive and we took our group photo – #SaveOurSaurs!
First up: Jurassic World in 3D. Although it turns out Universal had some technical issues with the 3D copy, and instead announced that we would be watching Jurassic Park in 3D. Maybe they did not expect the response, but the crowd roared with excitement and we sat to watch our favourite film.
Next up: Dr. Jack Horner graced us with his presence and answered many questions from fans, submitted both through the Jurassic World social pages and directly from us. Jack was really on form, so passionate about the movies and the dinosaurs that feature in them.
He explained the current status of his Chickenosaurus which is roughly three years away from completion, with only the tail left to genetically modify! He wants to see a Carnotaur in a sequel, and is excited for Jurassic World 2 which he promised has a fantastic script. Check out the audio from the Q&A below!
Those attending got the opportunity to meet Dr. Jack Horner in person, and while we did pry for sequel news, unfortunately his lips are sealed! Interestingly enough, when Ryan asked about the skeleton of the Triceratops looking dinosaur in the first official set picture from the sequel, he said it was a “Fake-a-saurus”…
The Velociraptor Meet & Greet was next, where we got to interact and meet Echo, the human in a Raptor suit. It was impressive to see up close and we learned that Echo was on her way to Chicago!
The discounted tickets for the day included entry between 5pm and 7pm to the Exhibition itself so we headed on through – what an experience! The museum, Universal and the Creative Technology company have really designed something special here, no wonder it is their busiest attraction! We learned that some props from the movie made it into the Exhibition, so seeing those up close is quite something! Check out this video from the Exhibition by Kerr Robinson!
After the event, the team from the Outpost (and a few others) headed to film a behind the scenes interview with Steve – Head of Creatures at Jurassic World: The Exhibition. He demonstrated how the T. rex operates and gave us great insight into how the Exhibition came together, and how it all works! He even let Chris operate the Rex! Check out the interview below, and huge thanks to Steve for taking the time to speak with us.
We had collaborated on this event with Universal and organised the schedule, but they truly surprised us in the screening by announcing canapés and cocktails after we have made our way through the Exhibition, to celebrate! This provided time to really meet and talk with those who had attended, and it truly was great to meet so many passionate fans!
The event went smoothly and everybody attending appeared to have a great time! With the little notice we had to actually advertise the event, Chris and I expected maybe 30 fans to attend. When we arrived, 83 tickets had been purchased, and the final figure made it over 100! How amazing is that?! We can’t thank you all enough for making your way to Philadelphia for this – the first official fan community event! It was fun to plan and equally attend, and meeting so many fans that we’ve known online for years made it all the better!
As for the weekend, it was the first time any of the Outpost team had met, and we all agreed it went too smoothly. Bros for life – I think the combination of Jurassic Park (well, The Lost World) quotes, pizza and a touch of alcohol solidified our friendship past online friends.
We were inundated with photos, messages and posts from the big day and we’re still working our way through it all now! So many of you shared your event photos and it really is so amazing to read your messages! We’re so happy you enjoyed it. Shoutout to the Jurassic Park Motor Pool who made it down with a Jeep, and a huge shoutout to Jaroslav Kosmina who created a unique gift for those who attended (email us if you missed out – these were distributed at the cocktails part)!
Ethan Pettus also attended and handed out zines for his upcoming novel, Primitive War! Dr. Jack Horner was in awe at the concept art showing feathered dinosaurs, and I know he kept both a copy of the zine and Jaroslav’s sketch – both impressive!
