Jurassic World & Jurassic Park Return To Theaters In November

‘Jurassic World’ celebrated its 10th anniversary this year, but… where was the celebration? Despite being released on June 12th back in 2015, the official Universal Pictures, Amblin Entertainment, and Jurassic World accounts made no mention of this milestone. However, there was also no mention of Jurassic June, the annual celebration of all things ‘Jurassic,’ despite the official accounts adopting their own logo for it a year prior. The absence of love for the original ‘Jurassic World’ could be attributed to promoting this year’s ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ instead.

One of the easiest ways Universal could have benefited from the film’s 10th anniversary was bringing ‘Jurassic World’ back to theater screens for a limited re-release. It’s been a long time since we have returned to Isla Nublar (unless you count ‘Camp Cretaceous’). However, the summer of 2025 was already overcrowded—very few films reaped box office rewards, and thankfully ‘Rebirth’ was one of them. Which is why, thanks to eagle-eyed fan Muzzammil, the reveal of an upcoming fall screening of the film makes a lot of sense.

On November 12th, ‘Jurassic World’ will be returning to Regal Theaters in the U.S. as part of its “Classics” film re-releases. So far, not many theaters have showtimes available, but we imagine the closer we get to this date that more will appear. The movie will only be showing in 2D according to its details tab (it was originally also released in 3D, D-Box, and 4DX). Whether this re-release will be limited to Regal Theaters and in the U.S. only remains to be seen.

But that’s not all: on November 5th, the original ‘Jurassic Park’ from 1993 will also be back in Regal Theaters in the U.S.! This is also part of the theater chain’s “Classics” re-releases, and the same details apply.

It is also not determined whether both films will only be available on the dates their detail tabs mention or longer. If we find out more, this article will be updated and re-shared as the release dates approach.

While this is a small way for fans to celebrate the 10th anniversary of ‘Jurassic World,’ at least we are finally getting something. One could joke that since ‘Jurassic World’ is technically a Christmas movie, Universal wanted to re-release it closer to that holiday! Many would love to experience the massive blockbuster back on the big screen, and for some it may be their first time. ‘Jurassic Park’ has had several re-releases over the years, but for ‘Jurassic World’ there have been very few blink-and-you’ll-miss-it opportunities. All the other sequels haven’t had any wide re-releases at all, which is something I truly expected leading up to the premiere of ‘Rebirth.’ Maybe someday.

For ‘Jurassic World’ fans, another way to celebrate the anniversary is to check out my new (and old) conversations with fans who were extras in the film. There are tons of behind-the-scenes stories and rare images that are revealed, truly making one experience the hype of the film’s creation all over again.

Will you be catching either ‘Jurassic World’ or ‘Jurassic Park’ when they return to Regal theaters in November? Both? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned to Jurassic Outpost for the latest.

The Rex card is just as incredible, really showcasing the classic Jurassic icon. Beyond the fan favorites, the set also includes a few surprises that fans are going to love.

The starter deck was created by the YoungCha Company, who handled the designs and set the foundation for this TCG. Their work establishes a solid base that feels like a genuine tribute to the whole Jurassic franchise.

Islands of Adventure’s River Adventure to Close for Extended Refurbishment in 2026

Universal Destinations and Experiences has announced that the Jurassic Park River Adventure attraction at the Universal’s Islands of Adventure park in Orlando, FL will be closed for an extended period for refurbishment.

The news officially broke on Tuesday September 16th, when the Universal Orlando website updated their list of upcoming closures to include River Adventure.

The Universal Orlando Resort website lists River Adventure to be closed from January 5, 2026 to November 19, 2026 –a total of ten months and twelve days. That’s ultimately just a few days longer than the transformation from Jurassic Park The Ride to Jurassic World The Ride between 2018 and 2019 at Universal Studios Hollywood, and several months shorter than the refurbishment that just happened at for Jurassic Park The Ride at Universal Studios Japan.

There has been no word from Universal on what the Orlando park has planned for the attraction during this extended refurbishment, or what changes we may expect to see once it reopens, but we can assume that the lengthy downtime means that the attraction will be receiving some much-needed love and attention after it’s (by then) twenty-eight years of operation. In recent years there has been multiple missing dinosaurs for periods of time, dinosaurs with odd breaks and bends, and inconsistent effects and sound system.  Hopefully, after the ten months, fans will be welcome back to Jurassic Park in all its roaring glory!
