Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has most viewed Super Bowl Spot On Social Media

The Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Super Bowl TV spot dropped last night and the overall reaction appears to be far more positive compared to the first trailer that dropped in December. According to Deadline, the Fallen Kingdom TV spot was actually the most viewed movie spot from the big game on Social Media. Topping the likes of Avengers: Infinity War and the very first look at Solo: A Star Wars Story.

However, in regards to pure video views combined from YouTube and Facebook, Universal’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom wins hands down tonight per ComScore with a total of 3.56M. This is followed by Paramount’s Mission: Impossible – Fallout with 2.09M views.

Though even though it had the most views, the spot did not generate the same level of social media conversation (33,400) compared to other spots like Solo: A Star Wars Story(109,000) and Avengers: Infinity War(161,000).

If you havent already, make sure to check out the Super Bowl spot below:

Not only is the commercial Jurassic Park themed, Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow, who is serving as writer/executive producer on Fallen Kingdom, directed this TV spot for Jeep. Here’s what he had to say:

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom to air multiple TV Spots during Super Bowl LII

Are you ready for some……Dinosaurs?

Deadline is reporting what has been long expected, we will get another look at Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom during Super Bowl LII on Sunday February 4th on NBC. Though according to the report, Fallen Kingdom will have not just one TV Spot during the big game, but “multiple” spots.

Universal, whose sister network NBC is airing the game this year, has continually had a footprint during Super Bowl, and this year they’re showcasing their June 22 summer sequel juggernaut Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom as well as the Dwayne Johnson July 13 action pic Skyscraper from director Rawson Marshall Thurber.’

‘Deadline is informed that both Fallen Kingdom and Skyscraper will run multiple spots.’

In 2015, Jurassic World aired a 1 minute TV spot right before kickoff during Super Bowl XLIX. Check out that TV spot below.

TV Spots during this year’s Super Bowl are being purchased by advertisers for roughly $5 million per 30 seconds. Though since NBC is part of NBCUniversal it could be argued that the air time for the Fallen Kingdom spots are going to be at a bit of a “discount”.

It is our guess that while Jurassic World ran one 1 minute spot in 2015, Fallen Kingdom will likely air two 30 second spots sometime during the game. Since these are commercials for a major Summer blockbuster, look for both of these commerials to air during the first half of the game and not the second half. Super Bowl LII will have its opening kickoff at 6:30PM ET, but we recommend tuning in before that in case the first spot airs before kickoff.

Are you excited for the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom TV spots that will air during Super Bowl LII on February 4th? What do you hope they show in these new looks? Let us know in the comments below and on our forums!

‘Jurassic World Live’ Arena Stunt Show Announced For 2019!

Hold on to your butts!

Universal Pictures have announced that starting in the Fall of 2019 there will be a live arena show called “Jurassic World Live“.

An official website went live this morning and it offers a brief description of what we can expect from the show.

An All-New, Live Arena Show Coming Fall 2019

Jurassic World Fans — get ready for this all-new, live-action show coming to your hometown! Experience the excitement of coming face to face with life-sized dinosaurs, including the vicious Tyrannosaurus Rex, the Velociraptor Blue and many other favorites. Adventure is guaranteed with arena-sized action, special effects and physical stunts that will leave you on the edge-of-your seat!

Image courtesy of Feld Entertainment (via Jurassic Park Podcast)

Our initial assumption and expectation is that this will be something similar to “Walking with Dinosaurs: The Arena Spectacular” that has been touring the world since 2007. But obviously this new show will be focused on the story and dinosaurs of the Jurassic World films. Check out the Walking with Dinosaurs video below of what the Jurassic World Live show may resemble.

However, despite some surface similarities it seems Jurassic World: Live will roar into new territories, pushing the boundaries of technology to bring the action to life like never before:

Feld Entertainment Inc. and Universal Brand Development are collaborating on a groundbreaking, live-touring show inspired by one of the biggest blockbuster franchises in cinematic history, Jurassic World. Feld will concept, produce and tour the multi-year arena show, which is scheduled to launch fall 2019 in the United States and will continue globally, featuring a herd of life-size dinosaurs extending up to 40-feet long. Using state-of-the-art projection mapping, fans will be transported right onto Isla Nublar, and with the addition of sophisticated animatronics and performer-operated characters, the dinosaurs will literally be the biggest stars of the show as the story is told through human and dinosaur interaction.

To bring this epic dinosaur world to life off the big screen, Feld Entertainment is breaking down the traditional arena barriers that typically exist between the audience and the live action. For the first time in an arena setting, fans will experience the epic wonder, thrills, awe and terror of the Jurassic World franchise up close and in their hometown.

“Fans around the world continue to tell us they want more ways to experience Jurassic World, and the thrilling action and larger-than-life experience of this live arena tour gives them the opportunity to engage in an all new and exciting way,” said Vince Klaseus, President, Universal Brand Development. “Feld Entertainment is best-in-class at creating spectacular live experiences, and this show is able to meet the high expectations of fans worldwide who are craving more interaction with Jurassic World dinosaurs.”

“The live Jurassic World arena experience will create new ways for fans to engage with one of the world’s most popular franchises,” said Kenneth Feld, Chairman and CEO of Feld Entertainment. “Feld Entertainment has the expertise and experience to bring this iconic franchise to life through an innovative format in an immersive arena setting coupled with a unique narrative that includes iconic locations and fan favorite dinosaurs – creating edge-of-your-seat, live entertainment that is a mix between a stunt show and a 3-D thrill attraction.

This show sounds quite different than Jurassic World: the Exhibition, the touring museum show which made its debut in 2016. While the exhibition has been met with enthusiasm from fans and families, one of the resounding comments is how the dinosaurs do not look like their film counterparts – perhaps the new live show will remedy this.

First Look at Packaging Art for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Merch!

Our first look at packaging art for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom products is here!

Several listings for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom products showed up in a recent PEZ sales brochure, including several listings of dinosaur-shaped PEZ dispensers featuring the likenesses of Tyrannosauruses and raptors, as well as the dilophosaurus and mosasaurus.

However, the stand out of these listings is that of the packaging’s key art, which features a profile image of Blue, along with the grittier Fallen Kingdom version of the Jurassic World logo and a background image of an erupting volcano.

This design seems to be the general format for other products – such as those being released by LEGO and Mattel – with Blue being the centerpiece for all of the packaging.

And, since that is the case, this marks the first time that a Tyrannosaurus or other large, headlining dino (like the spinosaurus from Jurassic Park III) has not been the focus of packaging art for the franchise. The art for Jurassic World (pictured below) featured a head-on image of the Tyrannosaurus, as well as the sleeker, blue and silver version of the JW logo.

What this means for the franchise and products yet to come, we have yet to find out, but a different turn is always exciting.

Let us know your thoughts on the packaging in the comments below and on our forums!

Full Expanded Descriptions of Every LEGO ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ Set! (Potential Spoilers)

In 2015, LEGO released a range of sets for Jurassic World which quickly became fan favorites due to their variety and creativity. While the builds weren’t very accurate to the film itself, they were fun, and captured the Jurassic play factor and identity fairly well. Due to their roaring success, fans have been eagerly looking forward to how LEGO would step up the game with their Fallen Kingdom range – it was widely assumed the new range would be more involved, and accurate to what was on screen in the movie.

Thanks to LEGO fan site [Redacted] fans questions have been answered, and we have detailed descriptions of the sets! Check out their video below, and read on for our write-up based on their information and more(warning – potential spoilers):

LEGO toys are always fun, and these are no different, but after the success of Jurassic World, plus the solid sales of the merchandise, we were left hoping for more. LEGO usually does a great job with licensed properties (look no further than Star Wars or Harry Potter), so by comparison, these look particularly simplistic. It would be easier to be less judgmental if LEGO prices were not so steep, but considering their profit margin, it’s hard not to want a little more.

Perhaps there is yet another set yet to be discovered, exclusive to a specific retailer, which will help further flesh out the line with new content. With any luck, LEGO will continue to support the Jurassic brand after these sets, and not wait for the next film, offering more variety in time.

Again, thanks to [redacted] for first reporting on these LEGO sets. The sets are expected to release some time after April 16th, 2018. Sound off in the comments below to let us know what set you’re looking forward to the most, and stay tuned for all the latest news!

The film that started it all, 65 million years in the making. On June 11th, 1993 Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment released ‘Jurassic Park’ – a new science fiction film by Steven Spielberg, based upon Michael Crichton’s best selling novel of the same name.

Jurassic Park is set on Isla Nublar, a fictional island off the coast of Costa Rica where billionaire John Hammond and a team of genetic scientists, have created a theme park that hosts cloned dinosaurs.

On a remote island, a wealthy entrepreneur secretly creates a theme park featuring living dinosaurs drawn from prehistoric DNA. Before opening the attraction to the public, he invites a top paleontologist, a paleobotanist, a mathematician/theorist, and his two eager grandchildren to experience the park — and help calm anxious investors. However, their park visit is anything but tranquil as the park’s security system breaks down, the prehistoric creatures break out, and the excitement builds to surprising results.

The film’s premiere was on June 9, 1993 in Washington D.C. On June 11, the film opened across America.
