We wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of you who watched Beyond The Gates and supported the show over these last three years. It has been such an honour to work on this program, and to work so closely with the talented people at Universal Pictures and Mattel.

We always intended the episodes to feature as much new behind the scenes material as we could, and getting to speak with the incredible talent who made our favourite movies has been nothing short of a dream. Learning the processes behind designing Mattel’s collectibles with the very designers themselves has been so exciting, and we hope we’ve managed to entertain along the way.

Beyond The Gates spanned three seasons, and spawned the spinoff show Jurassic World Revealed which we also produced and localized for 7 countries.

We also want to take a moment to thank the incredibly talented composer Caleb Burnett who has been with us from the very beginning. He composed our wonderful theme music and episodic music throughout and also worked with us on Revealed. Beyond The Gates wouldn’t be what it is without you!

While our work with the show is coming to an end, you can expect more great things in the near future! Thank you again to our wonderful partners and to all of you for watching along!

First Trailer for Netflix’s Camp Cretaceous Sequel Series ‘Jurassic World: Chaos Theory’!

After over a year of rumors, speculation, and anticipation the first official look at the ‘Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous’ sequel ‘Jurassic World: Chaos Theory‘ is here via Netflix’s Geeked Week! This trailer features our first look at Darius, and confirms that the storyline takes place years after Camp Cretaceous – much closer to the events of Jurassic World Dominion.

Take a look below and read on for everything we know about the new show!

After the park has closed, after the kingdom has fallen, a new era of chaos begins…. Jurassic World: Chaos Theory is coming to Netflix in 2024. About Jurassic World: From Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment, Jurassic World immerses audiences of all ages in a new era of wonder and thrills where dinosaurs and humankind must learn to coexist. Jurassic World is set against a global backdrop of diverse locations, with a sprawling story grounded in believable science and populated by distinctive dinosaurs, heroic humans, and cunning villains at both ends of the evolutionary spectrum. It is a larger-than-life destination for exploration, discovery, and epic adventure.

‘Jurassic World: Chaos Theory’ is believed to take place some years after the events of Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom in 2021, roughly a year to mere months before the bulk of events seen in Jurassic World Dominion. This would make the lead character, Darius Bowman, roughly 18 years old and the other ‘camp-fam’ characters in their late teens and early twenties. While it’s not confirmed who will be returning from Camp Cretaceous, we expect to see all of the Nublar Six to return over the show’s expected multi-season run.

The trailer doesn’t give much to go off of, other than showcasing the T. rex capture from Dominion suggesting the show will go full throttle into the dinosaurs on the mainland plot! To learn more, check out our rumor roundup and speculation videos about everything we currently know about ‘Chaos Theory’ – including theories about the characters and dinosaurs in the show!

Are you excited to see a show that will seemingly leave Isla Nublar, home of Jurassic Park, in the past? Let us know and stay tuned for all the latest news!

‘The Hatchling’ – a Original Dinosaur Short Film – Bring’s the Jurassic World Vibes

An all-new original short film ‘The Hatchling‘ featuring plenty of dinosaurs has roared online! While it is not an official entry into the Jurassic World universe or a production by Universal Pictures, it is sure to be right up your alley. Drawing clear inspiration from Amblin classics such as ‘The Goonies’ and ‘ET,’ this short film transports viewers to a world reminiscent of Jurassic Park (and dare we say, a more grounded Camp Cretaceous), complete with numerous easter eggs for all the dedicated fans like ourselves.

The production comes from quite a few members of the Jurassic Park community (with full transparency: Chris Pugh, from our own website, is among them). Although it doesn’t formally position itself as a fan film, ‘The Hatchling’ offers a surprisingly high-quality experience despite its modest scale.

So what are you waiting for, watch ‘The Hatchling’ below (after all, it’s only 10 minutes long)!

“Introducing ‘THE HATCHLING,’’ an original short film that transports you to a world where dinosaurs and man coexist. Nestled within the picturesque outskirts of Pine Ridge, a tight-knit group is thrust into a thrilling adventure to help reunite a baby Deinocheirus with its family in the sun-soaked wilds. Alongside evading the wrath of prehistoric beasts, our heroes are entangled in a web of forces who wish to capture the infant for their dubious agendas.

THE HATCHLING features high-quality independent filmmaking and beautiful visual effects–all available to watch on YouTube. Starring Carrie Gibson (HBO’S Barry), April Consalo (Cannibal Mukbang), Lamonte Forte-Jordan, and Liam Krivcov. From director Tim Cianfano, producers Max Bellomio, Anthony Feliciano, Luke Lotardo, and Chris Pugh, and writers Bri Bollmann, Tim Cianfano, and Chris Pugh, viewers of all ages are guaranteed a thrilling ride.”

So what did you think? Be sure to let us know, and if you have a project you want featured here sound off. We hope to see more projects from all the independent filmmakers and storytellers out there tackle dinosaurs in the future!

What Happened to the Live-Action Jurassic World TV Series?

Do you remember the reports of a live-action Jurassic World television series being in development? The series had enlisted Jurassic alumni Colin Trevorrow and Steven Spielberg as producers, alongside newcomers Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank, both presidents at Amblin Television.

It listed Vancouver, Canada as its primary production location, which is a film and TV hotspot, and where Jurassic World Dominion began filming in 2020.

Unfortunately the show never left the early development phase, but what happened? We explore this and more in our new video:

What kind of Jurassic Park (or World) show would you like to see? Would you like to go back to the construction of the original Jurassic Park, or would you like to see a dinosaur-infested world post Dominion? Let’s discuss below!
